A new yacht being produced by Stern Craft will indeed include a luxury supercar
This widely circulated message includes a series of attached images that depict an extravagantly appointed yacht that comes with a luxury supercar thrown in. According to the message, the car can be driven into a special constructed garage built in to the stern of the vessel.
Such a yacht is indeed being produced. The images are an artist's impression of the "122", a vessel currently being produced by Swedish boat company Strand Craft. Information about the project published on the Gray Design website notes:
STRAND CRAFT is preparing to launch the extravagant 122 , a high performance streamlined 38 metre Open super yacht, with an amazing Art Deco interior that can be greatly personalized. Interior includes four double and very large staterooms, heads, reception and salon areas and of course comfortable crew cabins. There are 52" LED TV´s and Bang & Olufsen sounds systems in all rooms.
The most stunning feature on this yacht is a special handcrafted supercar (Tender) powered by a 880hp twin turbo V12 engine with topspeed 375kmh can be housed in as a tender in the stern garage.
With a total of over 14.000 horsepower this amazing yacht breaks speeds over 50 knots.
A June 14 2010 news item published on news.com.au states that the yacht will have a price tag of $29 million (AUD). The article notes:
But the biggest drawcard is the 375km/h twin turbo supercar, which can be parked in the stern of the ship. Powered by a V12 engine, the supercar has even been fitted with bulletproof windows.
Reports indicate that the company is planning on producing only 6 of the yachts and five potential buyers have already expressed interest.
