Jon Bon Jovi is NOT Dead

In December 2011, yet another celebrity death hoax began circulating at light speed around Facebook and other social media outlets. This incarnation of the hoax claimed that rock legend Jon Bon Jovi was pronounced dead after police found him in a coma at a hotel in New Jersey. The message masquerades as a legitimate news story, which has given the rumour totally undeserved credibility.

There is no truth to the rumours. There are no credible news reports that support the claims in the story. In fact, Jon Bon Jovi is alive and well.

For those who still harbour fears regarding the star's demise, a photo of the man himself, looking healthy and happy and holding a card with a date later than that of his supposed death, has now been posted to his Facebook Page. The photo caption notes "Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey" -jbj. Rest assured that Jon is alive and well! This photo was just taken.

If you see a post claiming that Bon Jovi has died, please take a moment to let the poster know that the story is a hoax.
