Commentary:
The image that is the subject of this email forward is certainly spectacular. According to the accompanying description, the image depicts a bathroom that has had the floor painted in such a way that it appears to be open to the sky with a long drop to the ground below. The addition of an unfortunate bathroom-user falling into the void adds to the illusion.
However, the photograph in this email has been digitally manipulated and does not show a real bathroom floor. The image is an entry in a Worth1000 Photoshop contest. The entry is called "Big Step" and was created by Photoshop artist, Harry122
The same base photograph is used in a series of other entries also available for viewing on the Worth1000 website.
Manipulated images often begin circulating via email after some wag finds an interesting image, adds a plausible but inaccurate description and launches it into cyberspace.
