Hoax-Slayer - Camel Spider Image

In spite of thorough debunking over several years, mythical tales about supposedly dangerous camel spiders continue to circulate. Most such messages are accompanied by the following photograph that depicts a soldier holding up two apparently gigantic camel spiders. Camel spiders are real organisms and they can grow quite large. However, the description of the creatures in the messages is seriously inaccurate and the specimens in the photograph are not as large as they may seem at first glance.
