Commentary:
This message, which circulates via email as well blogs, online forums and social networking websites, asks recipients to send early Christmas cards to 5 year old Noah Biorkman, who is in the last stages of a battle with cancer. The information in the message is true and the card request is genuine.

Noah, of South Lyon, in the American state of Michigan, was diagnosed with cancer in February 2007. He has neuroblastoma, a nervous system cancer that mostly affects children. Noah went into remission for a time, but relapsed in September 2008. Sadly, Noah is not expected to make it to Christmas Day. Because of this diagnosis, Noah's family decided to celebrate Christmas early. Noah has received gifts from family and members of their local community along with a visit from Santa. He has also received thousands of cards and gifts from all around the world after the above request began circulating.

Cards can be sent to:
Noah Biorkman,
1141 Fountain View Circle
South Lyon, MI, 48178
