Brief Analysis
The claims in the report, which was originally published on right wing "news" site "Conservative Frontline", are complete nonsense. Much of the wording of the report was lifted verbatim from an earlier satirical piece published on satire website, National Report. And, there are no credible news reports about a government run Muslim outreach program like the one described in the fake article. It is unclear if the report is intended as satire or is a deliberate lie intended to further a particular political agenda.

Detailed Analysis

According to a report that is circulating via social media and has also been posted to numerous political blogs and forums, US President Obama has recently announced plans to implement a federally funded Muslim outreach program in US schools.

The report, which was originally published on the right-wing "news" website "Conservative Frontline", claims that the new program will be available in schools nationwide from February 2014. Supposedly, the program is designed to educate children about the fundamentals of the Muslim religion and Islamic belief.

However, the claims in the report are untrue. There are no credible reports that support the claim that the Obama administration is implementing any such program.

Moreover, whole portions of the report's text are copied verbatim from an earlier, openly satirical piece titled "Obama Declares November National Muslim Appreciation Month" published on satire website, National Report. President Obama's supposed comments about the Muslim community deserving full respect and understanding and about the millions of Muslims killed overseas are the same in both articles. The comments attributed to "Khaled Matei" are also identical in both reports.

The inclusion of these comments from the original - and entirely fictional - "National Muslim Appreciation Month" story indicates that the "Nationwide Muslim Outreach Program" story is also a work of fiction.

And, research on the phone number listed in the report indicates that it belongs to the Republican National Committee, rather than the "Nationwide Muslim Youth Outreach hotline" as claimed.

Ironically, even a Tea Party Facebook Page has condemned the Muslim outreach story as fake.

The Conservative Frontline and National Report websites are remarkably similar in appearance and tend to cross promote each other's material via their social networking feeds.
